Anil success began with humble beginnings as he graduated from the University of Bombay now University of Mumbai with a Bachelor Degree in Science. He furthered his study bagging a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School At the University of Pennsylvania. He was born with a silver spoon with an Indian business tycoon for a father, Dhirubhai Ambani on June 4th ,1959.
Anil is married to a famous Indian actress, Tina Ambani with whom they have two sons; Jai Anmol and Jai Anshul
He joined the Reliance group in 1983 as a co- Chief Executive officer before the split of the company which led him to assume the position of the CEO of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) The Reliance group strived under the leadership of Anil’s company. He presided over the Reliance Group as the Chairman and includes companies like Reliance Communication, Reliance Capital, Reliance Energy, Reliance Natural Resources Ltd.

His total net worth as at October 2007 ranked in USD $42 Billion and his personal stake weighted up to 66% of the Reliance Group shares.
